Raised to Life in Christ: Get Baptized at Pelham

Baptism is a meaningful act of obedience for every believer. While it’s not what brings salvation, it serves as a public declaration of our decision to follow Jesus and live according to His Word. Through baptism, we symbolize the forgiveness of our sins and the new life we’ve received in Christ. It’s a joyful celebration, a significant and memorable moment that marks a new chapter in a believer’s journey of faith.

16 "And now why are you waiting? Arise and be baptized, and wash away your sins, calling on the name of the Lord."

ACTS 22:16

FAQs

Baptism is a powerful symbol of Jesus’ death, burial, and resurrection. It represents the transformation that takes place when you begin a new life in Christ. Your old life is gone, and you are raised to live renewed in Him (Colossians 2:12). Just as Jesus was raised from the dead, baptism reflects the new life you now walk in as His follower.
While baptism itself doesn’t make you a believer, it is a meaningful step of obedience, a public declaration of the inward commitment you’ve made to follow Jesus.

We’ll provide you with a special Baptism T-shirt to wear during the service. Please wear dark or black shorts or pants to go with it.

Absolutely! Any child who has made the decision to follow Jesus is welcome to be baptized. We encourage parents to take time to talk with their children about the meaning and importance of baptism.

For infants and younger, please speak with a member our staff about child dedications.

No! Baptism is available to anyone who has decided to follow Jesus, regardless of whether you are a member of Pelham Church or not.
